ResponsibilitiesHampton Behavioral Health Center is a private behavioral healthcare center and offers the most advanced behavioral health, diagnostic treatment services for adults, adolescents and older adults in both inpatient and outpatient programs. This is a per diem job with a set weekly schedule; we are looking for someone who is available Monday - Friday for either and/or both the morning shift 6:a to a or p to 6p (approx hours per week). The Driver is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation of patients to and from Hampton Behavioral Health Center, both inpatient and outpatient appointments, therapy groups and sessions, and day and evening programs. Mobility, agility, and the capability to bend, lift and stretch shall be required in order to perform the functions of the position as may be required to assist patients and others with physical restrictions i.e. wheelchairs, walkers etc.
The qualified applicant must be able to demonstrate a courteous, professional, understanding and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, staff, visitors, physicians and others while ensuring confidentiality. Must be able to provide safe transportation to and from the hospital daily and plans and coordinates travel route to minimize transportation time and client’s length of stay on the van.
Observes and demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness and medical center policy regarding fire and safety regulations, infection control standards, smoking regulations, telephone usage and other rules governing conduct while at work.
