What You’ll Do
  • Provide expert perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a patient-first focus
  • Assist in complex cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting and surgical procedures
  • Manage ICU and surgical patients on CVICU, floors, and clinics, including rounding and evaluation
  • Participate in full-day clinics twice weekly and handle additional patient visits as needed
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including surgeons, physicians, and intensivists
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Develop detailed care plans and follow-up strategies based on assessments
  • Prescribe and manage medications within policy guidelines
  • Perform bedside procedures appropriate to patient needs
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with regulations
  • Operate independently under physician supervision while demonstrating excellent clinical judgment
  • Engage in ongoing CME to stay current with clinical skills and industry standards

What You Need
  • Active Colorado state license or eligibility to obtain one
  • NCCPA certification (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU management
  • Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work flexible hours and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
