Our Strategy & Investment team plays a vital role in shaping our Te Whatu Ora strategies for Data and Digital. We work closely with our partners to create and maintain our strategy and roadmaps, ensuring that our priorities are met, and the vision comes to life.

Our focus is on providing leadership, managing services, and overseeing architecture to align with our strategic goals. Additionally, we're excited to lead Strategic Partnership Management. This involves fostering partnerships with industry providers, managing relationships with national partners like Microsoft, AWS, and Spark, and handling Data and Digital Contract Management alongside Procurement. Our team develops and maintains frameworks, agreements, and roadmaps to keep everything running smoothly.

Mōu | About you

As our Supplier Relationship Manager, you will build strong relationships not only with the Te Whatu Ora business but also with digital suppliers, health providers, and the broader health system.

Your focus will be on ensuring our relationships are valuable for our business and that they align with our strategic objectives. Working closely with the business, you will foster positive and effective relationships with our strategic partners and use your senior influencing skills to bring together different stakeholders, both inside and outside the organisation. You will be the bridge between the Data & Digital Commercial, and Procurement & Supply Chain teams, ensuring negotiations with our key suppliers are a win-win.

You will have strategies up your sleeve for managing relationships within our portfolio. That includes plans to grow relationships with new and innovative suppliers. You will also make sure everyone is on track, with ongoing relationship measurements and open feedback loops and that our team is motivated and ready to deliver top-notch agreements that benefit everyone involved. You will make sure these agreements are in line with our budget and timeline and promote strong contractual relationships.

Your role will be all about connecting the dots between business owners and suppliers, making sure everyone is aligned on strategic roadmaps. We've got plans to keep the digital health market informed about our direction and encourage feedback. And if the opportunity arises, we're all for co-innovation and service development with our suppliers.

Preference will be given to applications of significantly affected Kaimahi through the change process.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • Needs to draw on extensive specialised work experience typically supported with professional qualifications –– minimum 10 years
  • Minimum 10 years in ICT commercial / procurement or ICT delivery roles requiring significant relationship management skills with proven experience influencing stakeholders throughout all organisational levels.
  • Experience providing strategic advice and guidance to leadership
  • Able to Demonstrates an understanding of Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022, the significance and obligations of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to give effect to these expectations in a meaningful way, and the commitments to equity and priorities of Wai2575
