Job Title: High School Substitute Teacher Reports to: Principal Location: Bishop Verot Catholic School | Ft. Myers, FL O verview:
Bishop Verot Catholic High School builds relationships centered on faith, learning, and leadership devoted to educating the whole person, utilizing innovative technologies, empowering students through collaborative experiences, and cultivating a spirit of service while grounded in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Bishop Verot Catholic High School in Fort Myers, Florida is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This position is on an as-needed basis. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Essential Duties:
  • Plan and deliver educational instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned when regular teacher is unavailable.
  • Provide corrective feedback to students and re-teach as necessary, to insure students have mastered the objections.
  • Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians and other educators to assist the students.
  • Implement approved-course curriculum.
  • Implement modifications in a student’s education plan as required.
  • Complete written reports and assigned administrative tasks related to these functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Principal.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Florida State Certification (or approved application for Certification)
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Knowledge of theory and practice of student learning styles
  • Ability to remain calm and pleasant under stressful circumstances
  • Ability to communicate cooperatively and effectively with staff, students and parents.
  • Strong computer skills.
