Shared Services: Internal Communications (Full-Time, Day Shift) -

The Internal Comm Specialist supports internal clients in a comprehensive and proactive way focused on design, branding and consistency of messaging across our internal channels. Organizes and ensures consistent content on internal communication digital and visual channels including but not limited to screensavers, digital signage, poster route, intranet, etc. These services may be provided for all entities that encompass LLUH. Provides support for all on-going and new communication projects. Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, internal communication, public relations or related field required. Minimum two years of experience in marketing, internal communication or public relations required. Minimum two years of experience in healthcare or higher education marketing, internal communication or public relations preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Broad knowledge of quality, patient safety, performance improvement, regulatory requirements, medical staff structure, peer review and legal aspects of care. Knowledge of quality, performance improvement and patient safety programs that are data-driven and utilize tools such as the rapid cycle testing, Lean, and Six Sigma. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
