We provide medical, mental health, and dental services to patients in 22 facilities across West Texas with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Our guides us in everything we do, ensuring patient-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As an LVN, you will be an essential part of our healthcare team, delivering direct patient care, assisting with treatment plans, and ensuring the well-being of those you serve. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, performing health assessments, and contributing to a dynamic and purpose-driven workplace.

• Patient Care: Administer medications, perform assessments, and monitors patients’ health conditions to ensure adherence to care plans.
• Clinical Observation: Identify and report changes in patient conditions, contributing to problem identification and the development of patient care goals.
• Medical Procedures Support: Prepare and operate essential medical equipment for procedures, examinations, and treatments.
• Documentation: Accurately record patient assessments, interventions, and medication administration in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers and correctional staff to ensure coordinated care in a secure environment.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare policies, safety standards, and regulations, including proper medication storage and direct observation protocols.
• Emergency Response: Assist in medical emergencies, triaging patients, and provide immediate care when necessary.

In addition to the base position compensation, we offer shift differential pay for night and weekend shifts:
Licensed Vocational Nurse Differential:

• Day Shift Employees: Earn an extra $3.00 per hour for shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday.
• Night Shift Employees:Earn an extra $3.00 per hour for shifts worked Monday through an extra $6.00 per hour for shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday.

Pay Statement

Required Qualifications

• Current Vocational Nurse License in the State of Texas, or ability to transfer the license to Texas by start date
• 5 years of experience as a licensed vocational nurse.
