About Compassion Care Group
Compassion Care Group is a leading trauma-informed residential treatment provider located in Dayton, Ohio, dedicated to empowering adolescent girls (ages 11-17) on their journey to healing and recovery. We provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, utilizing evidence-based, culturally responsive therapeutic interventions. Our mission is to foster resilience, promote emotional well-being, and equip our residents with the skills necessary for successful reintegration into their families and communities. We are deeply committed to collaborative care, ethical practice, and continuous program excellence.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and compassionate Clinical Director to lead our adolescent treatment program for girls. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping and overseeing all clinical services, ensuring exceptional patient care, and fostering a high-performing clinical team. The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician with a proven track record in youth residential settings, a strong commitment to quality, and a passion for making a profound difference in the lives of vulnerable youth.

Position Summary
The Clinical Director provides strategic and operational oversight for all clinical programming within our residential facility. This includes direct supervision of licensed and unlicensed clinical staff, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (CARF, Ohio MHAS), and maintaining the highest quality of clinical care. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive program innovation, ensure effective crisis management, foster a therapeutic milieu, and contribute directly to patient care as needed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Leadership & Program Oversight:
Provide strategic leadership for the design, development, and continuous improvement of all clinical programs and therapeutic curricula for adolescent girls.
Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring effective scheduling, resource allocation, and adaptation of programs to meet evolving resident needs.
Ensure the clinical program fully complies with CARF accreditation standards, Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services (OHMAS) regulations, confidentiality laws (HIPAA), and all other relevant state and federal guidelines.
Develop, implement, and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and best practices, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed and culturally competent care.
Collaborate closely with medical, psychiatric, and residential leadership to ensure integrated and holistic care.

2. Staff Supervision & Development:
Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, and provide ongoing mentorship to a diverse team of clinical staff, including licensed therapists, counselors, and interns.
Conduct regular individual and group clinical supervision sessions, offering constructive feedback, training, and guidance to enhance staff performance and adherence to ethical standards.
Perform comprehensive performance evaluations, including probationary reviews for new hires, ensuring all staff meet licensure, education, and competency requirements.
Develop and implement ongoing professional development plans, in-service trainings, and continuing education opportunities for the clinical team.

3. Quality Assurance & Outcomes Management:
Establish and monitor key clinical performance indicators (KPIs) and outcome measures to assess program effectiveness and resident progress.
Lead routine clinical record audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of documentation in the EMR/EHR system.
Utilize outcome surveys, participant feedback, and staff input to adjust, enhance, and ensure consistent quality in program development and delivery.
Oversee all quality assurance activities, conducting thorough investigations into clinical incidents, resident complaints, or staff performance issues, and implementing timely resolutions and corrective actions.

4. Crisis Management & On-Call Duties:
Develop and manage robust crisis intervention protocols, ensuring staff are trained and proficient in de-escalation techniques and safety planning.
Serve as the primary clinical escalation point for high-risk situations and ensure effective crisis interventions are implemented.
Participate in a rotating schedule for monitoring the Compassion Care Group (CCG) crisis line, providing clinical triage, consultation, and appropriate referrals during assigned shifts.
Provide on-call clinical leadership and support to the residential team during off-hours for urgent clinical matters.

5. Direct Clinical Care & Case Management:
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and manage a limited patient caseload as necessary to support program needs.
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities relevant to adolescent mental health and trauma.
Monitor and foster active participation of residents in all therapeutic programs and activities.
Oversee discharge planning, aftercare coordination, and family reunification efforts to ensure smooth transitions for residents.

6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Relations:
Collaborate directly with the Executive Director and administrative team to address any immediate concerns impacting the clinical team, program, or facility.
Maintain strong communication and collaborative partnerships with external stakeholders, including families, referring agencies, courts, schools, and community providers, through presentations and joint initiatives.
Represent Compassion Care Group at professional conferences, community events, and networking functions.
Actively participate in leadership team meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, and required training sessions.
