Position Summary La Salle University’s Natural Sciences department has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach introductory microbiology lecture and laboratory classes for first-year nursing majors and pre-health majors. These courses are generally offered in person, in the daytime or evenings.

• Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives.
• Provide timely grading and feedback to students.
• Provide guidance and support to students. Required Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD degree in a biology, microbiology, or related field. A Master’s or terminal degree in related degree in a field related to microbiology (MD, DO, etc) will also be considered.
- Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or desire for teaching introductory biology and/or microbiology courses, particularly at the college-level.
- Knowledge or experience teaching anatomy and physiology laboratory courses.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
- The job requires the ability to teach lecture or lab sections of microbiology.
- The job requires movement around the classroom or laboratory.
- It may be necessary for the position to teach an evening class of microbiology.
