Summary:
Production Coordinator is responsible for the timely execution of duties associated with ordering of raw material, inventory control, account management, supply chain, customer service, purchasing and / or scheduling in support of the daily functions of the production departments.
Functions:
- Performs required administrative and general office/clerical duties in support of the production departments
- Ability to work cooperatively with other associates, vendors and carriers with little supervision
- Performs accurate entry of orders / data into the Order Management system via various methods: EDI, Telephone, Fax, or Email.
- Review cost controls of supplies and raw materials and check with management for purchase approvals
- Executes and provides proper follow-up for expedited orders and order changes.
- Ability to complete short and long term projects and deal with multiple tasks and prioritized duties.
- Ability to establish and maintain a list of vendor, customer service representatives and / or sales departments that process orders for production materials.
- Product knowledge aptitude for WinCup product line
- Detailed oriented and have proven time management skills
- Demonstrate the ability to build relationships with internal and external suppliers, customers and internal functional groups
- Perform duties associated with ensuring inventory accuracy
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills a must
- Demonstrate an understanding of the supply chain process
- Ability to solve complex issues in a proactive manner
- Conduct daily duties in a professional appearance and manner
- Responsible for informing the leadership team immediately of any failure to meet established quality standards to ensure that corrective action is taken.
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership team.
Physical Demands:
- Work an 8+ or 12+ hour shift while sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, use hands to finger, grasp with hands and arms, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and lifting throughout the entire shift.
- Requires the manual movement of cases of finished goods that weight up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Maybe exposed to extreme heat when in a manufacturing environment that is not air conditioned.
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards.
- Work an 8+ or 12+ hour day shift
- Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime
Qualifications:
Education – High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience – 2 to 5 years of production or warehouse coordinator, raw material expeditor, inventory control, or related experience. 2 to 5 years in a supply chain environment and order entry experience.
Skills – Strong problem solving, follow-up, and decision making skills a must.Requires strong computer skills Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Internet, etc.).Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be able to read, write and speak English.Ability to work and excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
