About Levindale:
Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital is a -bed facility. Levindale's Geriatric Center includes long-term care beds, 35 subacute care beds, 28 dementia care beds and 21-respiratory care beds. The Specialty Hospital at Levindale consists of a 40-high intensity care beds and an 80 behavioral health beds. We’re passionate about providing the best medical & emotional care for our residents & patients. Quality of life for the people who stay or work at Levindale is the top priority.
The Departments:
- · Households (Skilled Long Term Care)
- · Halls-Sub acute Care/Skilled Long Term Care (Medical/Surgical)
- · Burks-Pulmonary Care (Skilled Long Term Care Trach and Long-Term Care Vent Units)
- · Brain Health-Behavioral/ Medical Care to patients with neurological disorders also a med surge unit.
- · HICU-Vent/Pulmonary Care/Acute Rehab (TBI, Dialysis, Gtube, Trach, Vent, LVAD patients)
- · Staffing Resource Pool: fast-paced department working and caring for patients on all departments as needed. This unit includes an additional department premium. (Staffing resource Pool requires a minimum of one full year of experience)
Job Description:
Provide safe, age-appropriate patient care, and function as advisor, resource, for patients and their families as a member of the patient care team. Conducts and documents an initial and ongoing assessment and gathers data relevant to the patient's/family individual needs. Develops and documents plan of care for selected patients/families. Implements, documents and provides care and education based on plan of care. Evaluates and documents the outcomes of nursing practice.
Requirements:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate’s degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field;
- American Heart Association CPR Card,
- Maryland Registered License.
- Microsoft Office Suite, Basic computer skills, Cerner, Synquest Standard, Office Equipment, Medical terminology.
- Nursing Process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act, Critical thinking skills, medical equipment. Less than one year of experience.
