After School Nanny

Position: After-School Nanny
Location: Cheviot Hills, CA
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00/3:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Compensation: $35/hour take-home (with a 35-hour weekly guarantee)

A friendly and active family of five in Cheviot Hills, along with their small family dog, is looking for a flexible and organized Nanny to assist with after-school care and evening routines. This position requires a proactive and capable individual who is comfortable managing a busy household with school-aged children and teens.
The schedule is consistent, but the number of hours may fluctuate slightly week to week depending on the family’s needs. Some weeks may require fewer than 35 hours, while others may require the full 35 or more—especially during school breaks, holidays, or when a child is home sick.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive care and supervision for the children during after-school and evening hours
School pick-up and transportation to activities, playdates, or outings (family provides a minivan for use during work hours)
Prepare and serve meals and snacks
Handle children’s laundry, including folding and putting away clothing in their rooms
Keep children’s rooms, play spaces, and common areas organized and tidy
Run occasional errands (e.g., school supplies, grocery pick-ups, dry cleaning)
Assist with pet care: walking the family’s small dog, taking the dog outside for bathroom breaks, and picking up after the dog as needed
Be available for additional hours when children are home from school due to breaks or illness

Proactive and able to anticipate the family’s needs without constant direction
Organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator
Experienced with older children and teenagers
Comfortable preparing simple meals for kids
Has a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Comfortable with pets and willing to assist with light pet care
Brings a calm, confident, and positive energy to the home
