Cross Domain Solutions Lead

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Lead. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in developing and maintaining cutting-edge communication networks to support a DOD Airforce Program. This position is fully on-site in Hampton, VA and has Top-Secret Level Clearance.

Responsibilities of the CDS Lead include :

• Lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) in compliance with NSA Raise the Bar (RTB), RMF, and DoD / IC security standards.
• Serve as the technical authority on CDS architecture, integrating technologies such as Radiant Mercury, OWL, Forcepoint, and custom-built guards.
• Oversee cross-functional collaboration with cybersecurity, network, and systems engineering teams to ensure secure and scalable CDS implementations.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability mitigation, and documentation development including Security Plans, ICDs, and SOPs.
• Act as the primary liaison with government sponsors, accreditation authorities, and mission partners to support system authorization and continuous monitoring.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead incident response efforts related to CDS operations and secure data transfer.
