The Director of Client Development will be an independent contributor and develop new market opportunities. A strategic thinker with a proven track record of market penetration and growth who will be responsible for prospecting, lead generation and qualification, and brief development.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage/keep regular contact with companies on the prospect list while building relationships between agency and key prospects. Understand the business and marketing challenges of key prospects while providing direct marketing to new business prospects.

Proactively define new and innovative opportunities to maximize client volume, profitability and brand equity.

Assist in development, analysis, and implementation of client’s sales and marketing objectives. A key success factor will be building strong relationships with Client marketing functions and appropriate sales and headquarter functions.

Work with Acosta/Mosaic business units to deliver seamless, cross-business service offerings to clients.

Understand the Client sales and marketing strategies and provide proactive diagnosis and recommendations where opportunity exists.

Manage the overall outbound sales process.

Develop relationships with consultants, procurement departments and prospective clients.

Maintain key client and stakeholder relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding Mosaic’s client base.

Understands how to breakdown sales goals and independently plan his/her own efforts and activities to achieve sales targets and timing.

Understands competitive set and monitors activity, provides insights related to points of difference and methods to increase win rates.

Effective & influential communicator in both verbal and written communications and can represent Mosaic on calls, presentations and onsite at conferences/etc.

Responsible for managing, influencing, and expanding client relationships (market, channel and services whitespace).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred
Work Experience
-
7+ years in consumer-packaged goods industry or in advertising or promotional agency.

5+ years' experience at a high growth agency selling brands
-
Experience selling, working on and converting integrated marketing campaigns at large agencies or with large brands

Exceptional people skills

A self-starter who’s not afraid to work both autonomously and with a handful of strong personalities across all departments

Highly organized and attentive to detail

A Microsoft Office Wizard – specifically PowerPoint deck creation

Natural leader with an ability to inspire performance Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development. Must be able to make presentations coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Open to travel for meetings, networking or conferences if required
