Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
- Typically holds a high school diploma or GED.
- Requires 1 or more years of job related experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications
- A high school education and three years experience in a warehouse/stores/inventory function.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of supply practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures applicable to property and inventory.
Job Duties Job Duty Assists with the Facilities Accounting Management Information System (FAMIS) Inventory Control process by maintaining familiarity with the appropriate FAMIS modules, providing written documentation in proper order for the Supply Manager to record transactions, and look up transactions to answer supervisors and customers questions. Reviews order forms and prepares for pick up or delivers upon request. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Distributes goods to personnel from Facilities, Housing, and system campuses quickly and efficiently in the warehouse by responding to written service order/requests, removing supplies and equipment from available stock, providing written documentation to the warehouse customer detailing all items received for a particular order, and ensuring an accurate accounting of the transaction is available for the warehouse manager and that a copy of the receiving document is kept in the warehouse files. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty Receives supplies and equipment from vendors and delivery personnel by unloading shipping vehicles, utilizing proper and safe methods, visually inspecting and counting items, assigning items to proper warehouse storage locations, investigating and resolving supply losses and other discrepancies, and reporting unresolved situations and information regarding damaged and/or defective items to the supervisor and both verbally and in writing. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty Assists with inventory and stock rotation by conducting a semi-annual physical count of items located in the warehouse, noting and reporting discrepancies between FAMIS Inventory Control and actual count, labeling item locations including shelves, etc., maintaining awareness of regular stock and stock levels in order to bring ordering needs to the Supply Managers attention, and identifying and/or resolving discrepancies/issues when possible while bringing unresolved issues to managers attention.
