Description
Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs. Provides education regarding prevention and treatment of injury and disease to patients and to the community. Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, treatment options and care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Reports to: Mgr - Rehab Svs
FLSA: Exempt
Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family. Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services. Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.QualificationsRequired Skills
