Manufacturing IT Support Engineer
Responsible for setup and first line of support for Lowell site’smanufacturing IT hardware and software needs and also for driving continuous improvement to the operations systems. The IT Support Administrator will provide sustaining support of factory computer and tablet-based workstations and software. This role will partner with operations and IT to troubleshoot and drive resolution of issues to support efficient manufacturing. This role will also coordinate with factory management to coordinate hardware/software updates. This is a dynamic role, often changing ‘hats’ daily to support various team needs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain catalog of all manufacturing hardware and software including specialty application software.
- Support and troubleshooting of factory specific hardware and software applications
- Develop plans for Manufacturing IT infrastructure improvement and execute to the plan.
- Must be willing to build familiarity with operator MES Eyelit interactions to assist in continuous improvement in operator interaction with workstations
- Responsible for partnering with IT on maintenance and replacement of manufacturing PCs
- First point of contact for manufacturing related hardware and software issues and will partner with IT on resolution
- Works closely with operations management to coordinate activities
- Partners with manufacturing personnel to highlight gaps and inefficiencies in the manufacturing IT systems and drives improvements to address them.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in information technology, or related field.
- Must be comfortable working in a clean room environment and be willing and able to wear a smock suit.
- Must be willing to skew work schedule as needed to support FAB need.
- Expertise in Windows OS and infrastructure
- Professional certifications are a plus
- Good time management, multitasking, and networking skills
- Strong inter-personal skills and ability to motivate team members.
- Some computer application programming experience.
- Experience in semiconductor-related operations is a plus
- Understanding of the semiconductor process flow, structure and functions is a plus.
- Customer service orientation and creative problem-solving skills.
