Job Description
The mission of the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) is to protect, preserve, and promote the health and well-being of all Boston residents, particularly the most vulnerable. The BPHC sets an expectation that all staff and leadership commit, individually and as part of the BPHC team, to hold ourselves accountable to establishing a culture of antiracism and advance racial equity and justice through each of our bureaus, programs, and offices.Organizational Learning and Evaluation supports the understanding and impact of learning needs and efforts within BPHC. These Internships will focus on supporting the collection and management of learning needs and learning outcomes data, along with the design, development and implementation of individual, team based, and organizational learning opportunites. The Intern will assist Organizational Learning and Evaluation and the CPD by:
- Developing editing and refining professional development presentations
creating and editing professional development materials such as worksheets and handouts - Assisting with evaluation summaries and reports and presentations
Qualitative and quantitative data analysis - Develipment and implementation of data collection instruments such as focus group guides, interview protocols, survey items and observational tools
- Survey data management and analysisDeveloping and implementing tracking tools and processes for work projects
- Describe and design curriculum development using Adult Learning Principles
- Illustrate understanding of and experience in evaluation
- Explain the relationship between organizational learning and evaluation
- Demonstarte communication across multiple stakeholder groups
- Demonstrate coordination of logistics for virtual/online learning opportunites
- Apply MS Powerpoint, Teams and Excel skills in a Public Health setting
- Illustrate understanding of and opportunity to apply Racial Justice and Health Equity Lens to Public Health Data and Evaluation Projects
- Apply data management, collection, and analysis skill
