Perm Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac Surgery - Colorado Springs, CO

Pay & Benefits:
  • Pay Rate: $1.00/hour
  • Salary Range: $100,588 – $143,769 annually, based on experience
  • Bonuses: Eligibility for quality and productivity bonuses, relocation bonus for qualifying candidates

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-first treatment
  • Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting as needed
  • Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluations across CVICU, floors, and clinics
  • Conduct two full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients as required
  • Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate lab and diagnostic tests
  • Develop, implement, and follow up on care plans based on patient outcomes
  • Prescribe medications in compliance with regulations
  • Perform bedside procedures as appropriate
  • Document all care accurately and timely
  • Maintain continuing medical education to meet licensing and registry requirements
  • Adapt to high-stress, evolving clinical environments with flexibility and teamwork

What You Need:
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado
  • Cardiac or cardiovascular surgical experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
