Lab Assistant Intern

Responsibilities

:

·Assist in the preparation and formulation of chemical solutions

·Conduct laboratory experiments under the guidance of experienced chemists

·Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment

·Follow established laboratory safety protocols and procedures

·Contribute to documentation efforts (ex: SDS, NFPA diamonds)

This is a paid internship that provides 12 weeks of mentorship and support to help you achieve meaningful results that will have a positive impact on the company. You will work alongside a cohort of approximately 20 other interns from various departments and receive professional development and networking opportunities throughout the program. Additionally, you will receive regular feedback to ensure professional growth.

·Completed coursework in General and Inorganic Chemistry

·Experience working with concentrated acids, bases, solvents, and oxidizers

·Familiarity with laboratory tools and equipment (ex: microscope, glassware, balances, hot plates, pH meters, etc.)

·Knowledge of chemical safety best practices

·Comfortable working in a lab environment while wearing PPE

·Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting
