Our aviation team supports clients through every phase of project development—from planning and design to construction and operational readiness. We deliver projects in complex, dynamic environments for municipal, regional, and international airports, air carriers, and military installations.

As an Aviation Project Manager, you will lead aviation projects and lean into the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) group, ensuring seamless integration of new facilities and systems into live airport operations. •Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Interface directly with clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies; maintain strong client relationships and communicate project progress.

•Grant Writing & Funding: Assist aviation clients in writing grants to fund projects under FAA AIP and other programs.

•Team Leadership: Staff and manage interdisciplinary teams; mentor junior staff and coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors.

•Project Delivery: Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets; manage delivery to meet client expectations and Jacobs’ financial goals.

•Risk Management: Recognize, communicate, and mitigate risks throughout project lifecycle.

•Business Development: Lead or assist with competitive bid proposals, presentations, and market assessments; build client business opportunities.

•Quality & Continuous Improvement: Oversee quality control processes and implement best practices.

Here's what you'll need

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Aviation Management, or related field.

•8–10+ years in aviation project management, planning, grant writing, and permitting.

•Proven project management expertise, including managing interdisciplinary teams and subconsultants.

•Strong writing abilities and communication skills.

•Proficiency in project management tools and software (Bluebeam preferred).

•Ability to interpret engineering design drawings and specifications.

•PMP preferred; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license a plus.

•Ability to travel as needed for project assignments and pursuits.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

•Experience with FAA AIP program requirements and ORAT processes.

•Familiarity with environmental compliance tracking during construction.

•Airfield civil engineering design experience and multi-discipline infrastructure projects.

•Established client relationships in the Northwest region.
