Job Summary
Under direction of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the Tutor/Facilitator will work regularly with cohort in either large group course-specific reviews or smaller group of 5-8 students through the CDM curriculum. The large group reviews will be presented typically before an exam. The smaller groups are a Tutoring intervention for students in academic difficulty or formal Academic Probation. The Tutor/Facilitator will supply effective facilitation in a manner that will improve students’ academic skills while developing mastery of subject material. Student independence rather than Tutor/Facilitator dependence will be the emphasis of Tutor/Facilitator. This position will also adhere University and CDM guidelines as well as follow University and CDM documentation policies and procedures. • Good verbal and written communication skills to be able to interact with faculty, staff, students, and any outside contacts.
• Excellent computer skills to use various related software e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Docs, and other software programs required by the position. Must have a good working knowledge of the Internet.

Organize and maintain attendance log for academic intervention sessions.
