  • Description : * We are looking for a Data Engineer strong in SQL and ETL development, SSIS, and data modeling. Day to day : - Data modeling designs / custom development of data models so the data flows into Tableau and PowerBI correctly - Building database views to summarize the data and pull the data correctly - Looking over the multiple databases they work with, main one being SQL but looking into the databases and the data that is in each database and understanding that well - Making enhancements to the dashboards within Tableau and PowerBI - Validating of data, first level check and comparing the original values that were there versus the new values, making sure everything looks ok, making sure the data loads and is refreshed. - They will receive requests for another view or metrics to add to the table or the column so need to be able to take those requests and implement them. Working in Jira to get those tickets / requests, need to be experienced in Jira. - Will be sourcing from Hadoop platform as well and that work will continue to grow so ideally have experience within Hadoop. - Working with APIs, ingesting data from APIs, writing scripts within this, Shell or Python scripts *Additional Skills & Qualifications : * Additional skills to have : - Validating of data, first level check and comparing the original values that were there versus the new values, making sure everything looks ok, making sure the data loads and is refreshed. - They will receive requests for another view or metrics to add to the table or the column so need to be able to take those requests and implement them.
