Job Summary:

The Clinical Informatics Lead serves as a strategic bridge between clinical practice and technology—integrating clinical expertise, data insights, and innovation to elevate patient care, safety, and operational excellence across Care New England Medical Group. This role drives the implementation, optimization, and ongoing advancement of Clinical Information Systems (including EHR), ensuring they seamlessly align with clinical workflows, regulatory standards, and the organization’s mission.

As a trusted leader and collaborator, the Clinical Informatics Lead provides direction for system design, testing, and deployment—partnering with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to champion the effective, user-centered use of technology in every aspect of care delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

System Implementation and Optimization
• Partner with clinical and IT teams to design, implement, and continuously enhance Clinical Information Systems, including EHR platforms, that drive clinical and operational excellence.
• Align technology solutions with real-world clinical workflows through thoughtful configuration, testing, and feedback integration.
• Champion system improvements, upgrades, and feature development that elevate user experience, performance, and reliability.
• Embed data security, access control, and confidentiality into every phase of system design and deployment in accordance with CNE Information Systems policies.
Clinical Workflow and Data Analysis
• Transform and streamline clinical workflows by identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
• Incorporate clinician and end-user feedback to guide enhancements that support safe, effective, and patient-centered care delivery.
• Leverage data analytics to ensure accuracy, integrity, and usability of clinical data—developing actionable reports and dashboards that inform strategy and performance improvement.
Training, Support, and User Engagement
• Design and deliver engaging, hands-on training programs that empower clinical teams to adopt and confidently utilize technology.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for technology-related clinical practice concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Foster collaboration and open communication across teams, building a culture of partnership and continuous learning around clinical technology.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Improvement
• Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, security, and privacy standards—including HIPAA, HITECH, and Meaningful Use—by embedding these requirements into system processes.
• Support and advance quality and performance initiatives by leveraging health IT solutions to monitor outcomes and optimize patient care.
Leadership and Strategic Planning
• Play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of clinical application development, reporting, and technology innovation across the organization.
• Inspire, mentor, and guide clinical informatics staff and super-users to drive engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with organizational leadership to ensure that technology initiatives reflect and reinforce CNE’s mission, values, and commitment to clinical excellence.
