Nurse Consultant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Consultant to join our team at Pacificare Health Management in Los Angeles, CA. As a Nurse Consultant, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to our long-term care facilities to improve quality of care and compliance with regulatory standards. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $175K-$190K ANNUALLY.
Responsibilities:
Provide clinical support and guidance to facilities to improve quality of care and compliance with regulatory standards
Conduct surveys and assessments to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for resolution
Develop and implement performance improvement plans to monitor compliance with survey plans of correction and other regulatory requirements
Collaborate with facility leaders and staff to identify and address quality of care issues and trends
Provide training and education to staff on quality improvement principles and the development, implementation, and monitoring of performance improvement plans
Monitor and report on quality of care indicators and trends to identify areas for improvement
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with facility leaders, staff, and other stakeholders
Participate in departmental meetings and committees to provide input and guidance on quality of care issues
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent required
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in California
Current Basic Life Support Certification
Strong background and knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and long-term care regulations
Proficient with the use of PointClickCare
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to travel as needed
