Your role in our team

This role oversees the entire engineering function within the organization, playing a critical role in defining the technical vision and ensuring the execution of projects aligns with the company’s strategic goals. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of both technical and business aspects of our industry. The VP of Engineering will be responsible for managing engineering teams, driving innovation, and delivering world-class solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

• You own the technical architecture and quality of the product, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Your evaluation of emerging technologies and trends determines how they could be applied to enhance product offerings
• You oversee engineering teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Developing and implementing the engineering strategy supports the company’s long-term goals
• Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a high-performing engineering team fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Your close work with the executive team aligns engineering efforts with business objectives
• You drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and workflows. Building and managing a talented team of engineers fosters an environment that encourages innovation and career growth
• Promoting a culture of open communication and collaboration across all engineering teams is crucial. Your definition of performance goals and regular feedback to engineers ensures their professional development
• You collaborate with Product, Marketing, and other departments to ensure product development is aligned with customer needs and market demands. Working with stakeholders ensures the technical direction aligns with the company's vision
• Optimizing engineering workflows and processes ensures maximum efficiency and productivity. Your drive for engineering budget planning and resource allocation aligns with company priorities
• Encouraging a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the engineering team is vital. Staying abreast of industry trends and competitor developments drives competitive advantage

Your profile

• You have obtained a bachelor's or master’s degree in Engineering, or a related field
• You have gained 10+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP, Director, or similar)
• Experience in the Automation industry is desired
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and continuous integration practices is desired
• You have knowledge of and experience with Agile and other software development methodologies
• You have a strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development, architecture, and modern technologies
• You have proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. Your demonstrated success in scaling engineering teams, managing multiple projects, and delivering high-quality products on time showcases your capabilities
• Displaying strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead engineering teams is essential. Exhibiting excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills further highlights your qualifications
