Are you passionate about emerging technologies and experiences like Generative AI, spatial computing, and more? Emerging experiences allow people to interact with artificial intelligence, conversational interfaces, bionic assistants, spatial computing, and more. To create user interfaces for them we’ll need expand our design standards. We are seeking a UX designer that can help us create guidelines, templates, patterns, and standards that are human-centered and help accelerate the design and development of these experiences.

You are able to demonstrate expertise in one core strength (information architecture, interaction design, or interface design). It'll be important to have an understanding of the design process and ability to work in the ambiguous discovery phase of identifying the right problem to tackle and the details of delivering desirable products. You’ll be working on the Design Standards and Emerging Experiences team to distill complex problems into clear solutions that exemplify standard methodologies and encourage others to adopt our standards. You will need to be adept at articulating and defending design decisions in a way that can be understood.

Key Responsibilities :

Create emerging conventions and standards for iconography, screen layout and user interface design for virtual assistants, co-pilots, etc.

Help inform, design, and document Nationwide's AI guidelines and patterns

Find and experiment with AI-supported design ("prompt to screen design") and research tools such as Wix, Uizard, Firefly, etc. Identify notable features that set these tools apart from the conventional tools our team uses today.

Collaborates with partners, product managers, technologists, UX peers and others across the company on technical and creative direction.

Participates in idea-generating sessions and helps capture and evaluate ideas with respect to technical feasibility, business viability and human desirability.

Able to think strategically and connect work to a larger picture.

Perceive rapid advancements in technology and how customers expect to interact with our company.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
