Summary of Duties

Position Summary: Acts as a clinical liaison between the Corporate IS Department and Quail Run Behavioral Health. Performs duties associated with the implementation, support, and maintenance for all aspects of the clinical information system. Duties also include performing basic computer and computer peripherals troubleshooting skills. This position provides problem tracking, resolution, enhancement requests, active participation in system testing, workflow redesign, change management, and ongoing Cerner education to facility employees and physicians.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Technical school or associate’s degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum two years direct patient care experience preferred. Cerner experience preferred.
• Clinical knowledge required.
• Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to obtain within days of hire.

Knowledge: Understanding of clinical workflow and operational processes within a nurse unit/dept. or interdepartmentally.

Skills: Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office experience required. Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner) preferred. Mentoring/leadership experience. Ability to collaborate with clinicians to discern software specifications, hardware requirements, and process improvement workflows. Must be comfortable and confident interacting with physicians and clinicians at all levels. Additional skills desired for the position include general IT knowledge that includes basic troubleshooting skills of computers, laptops, networks, and peripherals (printers, microphones, scanners, etc.) Language proficiency in English, with excellent written/verbal communication skills and good presentation skills.
