We are pleased to announce the following available position: FT Admissions Financial Counselor
Qualifications
The Admissions Financial Counselor is responsible for verifying benefits and eligibility for each patient admission. Taks include, but not limited to: preparing benefit folders, collecting co-pays/deductibles from patients/guarantors, assisting with establishing effective and timely payment plans, coordinating with utilization review or other applicable departments to limit the risk of non-payment, providing ongoing patient benefit information, and correcting or verifying demographic information. This position also uses internal policies and external tools to asses ability to pay, then reporting that data. Assists Business Office Director with special projects or other duties as needed.
Qualifications EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Employee must have at least a High School Diploma with basic knowledge of book keeping or accounting and prefers at least 2-year administrative experience in a healthcare setting. Must be proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Excel or any combination of education, training or experience in a business office environment.
