Job description

Exceptional Wellness, Inc is seeking a Houston area Behavioral Health Case Manager for our community based mental health organization to serve as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

Our QMHP services follow a strengths-based, client-centered model that will help develop and build skills that enable the child and family to function autonomously and successfully.

The Bilingual Case Manager will collaborate with the clinical team in developing a tailored treatment plan that is focused on the child and family's key needs.

The treatment plan will address all behaviors that have been identified by the family and child as well as take into account any collateral information.

The QMHP will also provide the family with any case management assistance that will benefit the overall wellbeing of the child and family unit.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention (Master's Preferred) Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred but not Required) Ability to pass criminal and employment background checks 3+ years of prior experience working in the behavioral health field or a closely related field (Autism, IDD) Ability to conduct sessions with clients both in community (40%) and virtually (60%) Ability to support our agency's culture of excellence through communication, accountability, and positivity Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and independently with minimal daily oversight Ability to establish rapport and work with children and families Effective oral and written communication skills Well organized and adaptable Problem solver mentality Competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Suite, Zoom, and other software applications **PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE LOCATED IN THE HOUSTON METROPOLITAN AREA (Spring, Cypress, Kingwood, The Woodlands, Humble, Pasadena, Pearland, Missouri City, Stafford, Sugarland, La Marque, League City, Richmond, Rosenberg, Alvin, Alief, Manvel, etc.)** Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Benefits: Flexible schedule Referral program Schedule: After school Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime Self-determined schedule Weekend availability Powered by JazzHR
