Job description

Primary Purpose:

  • To maintain student records and schedules and to handle all mainframe computer needs for counselors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution (required)
  • Two years clerical experience.
  • Previous computer experience

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficiency in all general office skills.
  • Be self-motivated, organized, and exhibit good interpersonal and telephone skills
  • Some school experience preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain scheduling and student demographic data on computer. Make changes as directed by counselors or assistant principal(s) Enter new students on the computer.
  • Maintain student grades on computer Collects, organizes, and submits grade scan sheets to Computer Technology Department Receives teachers' grade verification sheets and distributes to teachers Makes grade changes from corrected verification sheets or teacher's reports of completed grades.
  • Orders printouts from Computer Technology Department.

Shared Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assists with the processing of student folders and transcripts
  • Assists with filing of folders
  • Assists in entering attendance as needed
  • Assists in clinic as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
