Packaging Operator – 12 Hr Night Shift

Responsibilities /duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Operate state-of-the-art packaging equipment.
• Will interface with equipment controls to package finished product.
• Will operate packaging line while loading units to be packaged and preparing finished product for delivery or warehousing.
• Packager will take corrective actions when nonconformance occurs.
• May perform work on various packaging lines to ensure the timely production of products.
• Individuals must be willing to work as a team member.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs to a maximum of 90lbs throughout the shift.
• Must be able to push and pull up to 100 – 150 pounds.
• Work within a confined space is required and the position will work with chemicals.
• This position may also require the operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Should be able to wear all required PPE including air purified respirators.
• Participate in development and implementation of corrective actions.
• Use of computers to make labels.
• This position may also be assigned tasks in other functional areas as required to help support the overall success of the facility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have 2+ years experience within the manufacturing environment and demonstrate mechanical reasoning skills.
• Must have 2+ years of forklift and shipping experience
• Must have good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Responsible for assuring quality work and appearance of finished product packaging.
• Can follow procedures and written directions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
• Work in a safe and compliant manner.
• Lifting of 50lbs-90lbs throughout the shift.

Schedule

Night Shift: 5:00pm - 5:30am working a 2X3X2 rotation (work 2, off 3, work 2 - the next week off 2, work 3, off 2 - one week is 36 hours, the next 48 hours, alternating.) Additional overtime may be required.

Pay

$25.50 per hour ($23.50/hr plus $2.00/hr shift premium)

Drug & background screen required (THC Not Tested)

Must pass a Full Physical and Respirator Fit Test
