ResponsibilitiesHorizon Health , the national leader in the management of inpatient psychiatric programs, together with Boulder City Hospital in Boulder City, NV , seeks a Master’s Level Social Worker for our -bed inpatient, Geriatric Psychiatry Program. This position is responsible for providing direct high quality psychotherapy services to patients in assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, group treatment, individual treatment, family treatment, and discharge planning. The Social Worker assists patients and their families in understanding and adjusting to diagnoses and potential treatments. Social Workers can also help identify resources during treatment and after discharge. The Social Worker effectively participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team and the unit community relations team

Education, Certification/Licensure, and/or Experience
Requires LCSW with an active license in NV. Experienced in Geriatric patients, or have an interest in this field, along with the ability to work with a team that is oriented in excellence in quality of care!
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or other related field is preferred; and/or
A master’s degree or above from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or other related field which includes a practicum in a health or human service agency is preferred
Minimum three years of experience in a similar position and/or industry
