Job Title: Specialist- Mid Level/GIS Coordination Support Specialist
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months of contract
Support specialist needed to assist GIS Coordination Program Manager in implementation of Geographic Information Coordinating Council (GICC) initiatives including administrative support for 6 subcommittees and technical support for working groups.
The candidate will primarily work remotely but will be required to come into the office one day per week (Tuesdays at the time of posting). Additionally, the candidate may be required to come onsite at short notice. It's best that a candidate lives locally.

Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience using Esri's ArcGIS Desktop suite of applications, including, but not limited to ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro.
Required 3 Years Strong understanding of how to edit and maintain GIS data in the Esri ArcGIS suite of products. Required 3 Years Expertise in data visualization and cartography to help explain patterns and issues and producing static GIS maps for effective communication.
Required 3 Years Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and experience in applying geospatial workflows and solutions, data management and analysis.
Highly desired 3 Years Exposure to and understanding of the fundamentals of online mapping tools and knowledge of NC OneMap.
Highly desired 3 Years Experience in an SDE versioned multi-user environment is preferred. Required 3 Years
