A cutting-edge medical device company with a wide and growing range of highly innovative healthcare products is currently seeking a Product Manager to work with the Marketing Team in managing the marketing of a product line in the North American Market. This position is located in Orange County, CA.
The role of Product Manager for the US/Canadian Markets is described as a 'Down Stream' position which has a Sales Support focus. The ideal individual would demonstrate Sales leadership to the Sales team through Sales Techniques, Presentation Methodology, Superior Product Knowledge within the Product category, including competition and market segment. Consistent with this approach would require strong Customer relationship skills.
Specific responsibilities will also include::
* Support the development of Product Promotional Campaigns including effectively measuring and managing the successful implementation
* Monitoring sales forecasts to support production planning
* Provide technical and application support to inside and outside customers
* Provide input to training material development and participate in internal/external training activities
* Liason with Upstream Product Management to support product and user feedback, marketing material development and new product releases
*Carry out all proposals for large IDN’s and GPO’s
30% domestic and international travel is anticipated
Experience & Education Requirements
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical or scientific discipline
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Product Manager, medical products preferred
* Strong Technical background and experience working with technology (software, web applications)
* Field Sales & Marketing experience preferably in a technical or scientific market
* Demonstrated experience calling on C-level customers
* Demonstrated experience in creating and delivering product training to sales teams and customers
* Strong computer application skills including Microsoft Office
* Budgeting and Financial management skills
