Responsibilities Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Full Time to plan and provide activity therapy services for individual and/or groups which benefit their physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being. The Activity Therapist will also provide recreational, or leisure assessments as needed along with participating with the multidisciplinary treatment teams to integrate these services and improve patient functioning.
SummitRidge Hospital –is a place for Healing and Hope! Our behavioral health psychiatric hospital is in Lawrenceville (about miles northeast of downtown Atlanta). We provide psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment to adolescents, adults, and seniors, in addition to partial hospitalization and other outpatient programs (includes a location in Athens).

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- Prefer certified Recreation (Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and two years’ experience) Art therapist (Master's degree in art therapy with 1, hours post-graduate clinical experience)
- Minimum of one year experience working in a therapeutic recreation program for adults and adolescents with psychiatric and/or chemical dependency patients
- Has a variety of skills to challenge and teach patients leisure skills and mastery over their environment.
