ResponsibilitiesSouthridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we will serve up to adult and geriatric patients across four units when we open in Summer of 5.

Position Description:
The Activity/Recreation Therapist is responsible to assess, educate and develop recreational, social, leisure and daily living skills. The Recreation Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing unit activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

Hours and Location:
Full-Time. 8am to 6:pm Schedule includes a every other weekend rotation.
We are located on the south side of Grand Rapids, near the intersection of M-6 and Byron Center Ave SW: 1 Venture Hills Boulevard SW, Byron Center, MI
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience: A minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
License/Certification: Certified Therapy and Recreation Specialist (CTRS) from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation
