Job Summary: Provides a high level of visibility at the street level while on patrol to go out of the way to actively acknowledge pedestrians with a friendly greeting or identify visitors in order to provide directions, information, city information or recommendations. PART-TIME: 2 SHIFTS Friday 1:00pm-8:00pmSaturday 1:00pm-8:00pm Other Essential Functions: Manual Litter Collection: While circulating through assigned work zone you Remove litter and other debris on sidewalks and alleys. Observe And Report: while on patrol be watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to Safety Ambassadors via two-way radios. Must be able to articulate an accurate description of persons, vehicles, and other similar identifiers. Reporting: must be able to provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed.

Requirements

Profesiionalism: Acts in compliance with Block by Block performance standards. Physical Abilities: · Must have the physical capacity to walk continuously during an eight hour shift, with normal breaks (two fifteen minutes, and one thirty minute meal break).· Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.· Must be able to see, frequently stoop, bend, squat, reach and frequently lift up to 25 pounds during an eight hour shift. Communication: Must have a basic understanding of the English language, including ability to speak, read, and write basic English to communicate with public, understand and implement instructions and create basic reports.
