We are looking for motivated Shipping Clerks to join a busy coatings production company in Akron, Ohio. If you have shipping experience and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you!

The role primarily involves labeling, packaging, and shipping duties using various shipping and inventory software. You will also assist in other areas of the operation most days, providing variety and new challenges. No forklift operation or heavy physical handling is required, but some experience with forklifts and RF scanners is a plus. Training will be provided for software and procedures.

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: $22.00/hour (raise to $23.00 after hire by the customer)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify order accuracy and inspect products for damage

• Package and label products for shipment following DOT requirements

• Create shipping labels and documentation using computer systems

• Operate shipping software like UPS, FedEx, and USPS (training provided)

• Track shipments and update order statuses

• Assist with loading trucks and occasional forklift use

Minimum Requirements:

• Shipping experience, including clerical and physical duties

• Computer skills, including printing labels and tracking shipments

• Experience with UPS, FedEx, USPS preferred

• Experience using RF scanners

• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally

• Attention to detail and strong work ethic

• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn

Nice to Have Skills:

• Forklift experience (not required but a plus)

• Hazardous materials handling experience

• Experience with inventory management software

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Prior shipping or warehouse experience

• Demonstrated longevity in previous roles

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work on-site in Akron, Monday through Friday

• Must be willing to take on responsibilities and learn new tasks
