We are looking for safety-driven craftsmen who can read drawings, complete accurate layouts, and produce quality work without constant supervision.Bengal has supported industrial, petrochemical, construction, crane, rigging, and heavy-transport projects across the Gulf South for more than 25 years.What We OfferCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceWeekly pay with direct depositOvertime opportunitiesMajor medical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insurance401(k) retirement planShort-term and long-term disability optionsPaid vacation and holidaysConsistent work with a growing Gulf South contractorLong-term career and advancement opportunitiesMilitary-friendly employerWhat You'll Be DoingConstruct, set, brace, inspect, and strip wood and metal concrete formsBuild forms for foundations, columns, walls, equipment pads, piers, and other concrete structuresMeasure, cut, assemble, and install formwork according to project drawings and specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, sketches, elevations, and layout informationEstablish lines, grades, elevations, dimensions, plumb, level, and squareInstall and position anchor bolts, embeds, reinforcing steel, tie rods, braces, and related materialsConstruct temporary structures, ramps, walkways, shoring, and supports as requiredAssist with concrete placement, screeding, finishing, patching, and repair when neededSafely operate saws, drills, grinders, levels, measuring equipment, and other hand and power toolsInspect completed work for accuracy, alignment, strength, and compliance with specificationsAssist with material handling and other civil construction activities when necessaryMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work areaFollow all Bengal, customer, OSHA, and job-site safety requirementsParticipate in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, training, and site orientationsPerform other duties as assigned by project supervisionWhat You NeedAt least three years of verifiable industrial, heavy-civil, or commercial concrete carpentry experienceStrong concrete formwork and form-setting experienceAbility to read and work from blueprints, drawings, elevations, and specificationsExperience working with rebar, embeds, anchor bolts, foundations, and structural concreteAbility to accurately measure, calculate, lay out, cut, fit, and assemble materialsKnowledge of proper bracing, shoring, form alignment, and concrete construction methodsExperience safely operating carpenter hand tools and power toolsReliable transportation to Houston-area job sitesAbility to work overtime, weekends, nights, and extended schedules when requiredAbility to work independently and as part of a multi-craft construction teamStrong safety awareness, dependability, and attention to workmanshipIndustrial or heavy-civil formwork experience is required. Residential-only finish, cabinet, or trim carpentry experience will not substitute for the required industrial experience.Preferred QualificationsFour or more years of industrial construction experienceNCCER Industrial Carpenter or related craft certificationOSHA 10 or OSHA 30Current TWIC cardCurrent Houston-area safety council credentialsExperience working inside petrochemical plants, refineries, terminals, or other industrial facilitiesExperience with concrete finishing, rebar placement, rigging, or additional civil construction craftsSite-specific credentials may be required before assignment.
