Behavior Analyst (Outreach)

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Behavior Analyst (Outreach) for the Douglass Development Disability Center. The position reports to the Associate Director of Consultation and Communications. Among the key duties of the position are the following: Supervises and monitors the services and programs related to the education of children and adults with autism and their families within an assigned caseload through the DDDC's Outreach unit. Ensures best practice applied behavior analysis procedures are maintained and applied in the education and treatment of children and adults in community settings.

Mid Range Salary - 104002.000

Maximum Salary - 125837.000

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience - Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Speech or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience working with individuals with autism.

Certifications/Licenses - Board Certified Behavior Analyst. A valid driver's license is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Experience training and supervising other staff in the delivery of behavior analytic services. Advanced knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis. Following training, must be physically capable of safely providing crisis management techniques including restraining, lifting, blocking individuals with challenging behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications - Specific training in functional analysis, treatment analysis, single case design, and preference assessments is preferred.

Equipment Utilized - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands and Work Environment - Employee must be physically active. Duties may involve running and playing active games with individuals from 2 21 years of age.

Special Conditions - In accordance with New Jersey State law, applicants must agree to undergo and authorize the University to conduct fingerprint, criminal history and/or child abuse record checks with various law enforcement agencies, including, but not limited to: the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Identification Division and/or the New Jersey Division of State Police, Bureau of Identification. Applicants must also assume any costs incurred by the university associated with the background investigations, whether required by statute or not. In accordance with state mandated requirements, a Mantoux test will be administered to the successful applicant to verify the absence of tuberculosis. In addition, the successful applicant, at the cost of the University, will be required to be inoculated against Hepatitis B unless the successful applicant waives this vaccination in writing.
