This is not a remote position. / ph3Responsibilities / h3pWe are looking for an experienced Senior Cognos Developer to lead the design, development, and administration of our IBM Cognos Analytics environment. This role is ideal for a BI professional who enjoys building complex data models, optimizing performance, and delivering reporting solutions that drive data-driven decisions across the business. This person will : / pulliDesign, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in Cognos / liliSource data needed for reports and work with the data team to incorporate into the data warehouse and models / liliPerform Cognos administration tasks including user management, security setup, deployment, and performance tuning / liliMaintain and optimize data models, packages, and reporting layers / liliTroubleshoot issues with reports, data sources, and server environments / liliEnsure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards / liliSupport upgrades, patches, and migrations for Cognos environments / li / ulh3Qualifications / h3ulliBachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field / lili5+ years of experience with IBM Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Framework Manager, Administration) / liliStrong understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and BI best practices / liliProficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) / li / ulpstrongPreferred Experience : / strong / pulliExperience with other BI data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) / liliExposure to Cognos DQM and CQM modeling / liliFamiliarity with cloud-based Cognos deployments / liliRelevant IBM Cognos certifications / liliT-SQL on SQL Servers / liliExcel and Power Queries / liliSSAS Tabular (on-prem or cloud) / liliVisual Studio or equivalent software / liliAzure Data Factory / SSIS / liliExperience with other Microsoft Power Platform programs (Power Apps, Power Automate) / li / ulh3Why Kimley-Horn? / h3pAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
