Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have: 2 years Level 1 or 2 Trauma Experience Scrub and OR Circulator experience Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and service standards. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice and the Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility. Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time on duty. Must be able to lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Work typically occurs in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical demands require pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., and pinching up to 15 lbs. Minimal requirements include kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Patient satisfaction is a top priority, with a strong focus on safety and innovation. Overall, the goal is to provide high-quality care and a personal experience for all patients.
