Job description

Technology Delivery Lead – Enterprise Initiatives

Tulsa, Oklahoma | Hybrid | 12-Month Contract

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group is seeking an experienced Technology Delivery Lead – Enterprise Initiatives to lead large, complex, cross-functional technology initiatives for a major U.S. organization.

This position requires a project leader who combines strong delivery fundamentals with strategic thinking, proactive risk management, executive communication, and the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex situations.

This is a local Tulsa-area opportunity with a hybrid schedule. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Tulsa Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Friday.

The Role

You will lead multiple complex technology projects and programs with significant organizational impact.

The successful candidate will work across business leadership, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects remain aligned with business objectives, risks are identified early, decisions are made efficiently, and initiatives deliver sustainable business value.

This position requires more than project administration. We are looking for someone who anticipates issues, challenges assumptions, presents solutions, and helps teams navigate uncertainty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple complex IT projects and programs.
  • Manage initiatives with significant cross-functional and organizational impact.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and delivery milestones.
  • Maintain risk registers, governance documentation, status reporting, and other project controls.
  • Understand business objectives and translate them into structured delivery plans.
  • Manage the complete project lifecycle from initiation through delivery and closeout.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and delivery issues before they impact project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement appropriate mitigation and contingency strategies.
  • Coordinate business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment across multiple teams with competing priorities.
  • Provide concise project-performance reporting and executive-level communications.
  • Present recommendations, alternatives, trade-offs, risks, and solution paths to leadership.
  • Support decision-making by bringing clarity and structure to ambiguous situations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery through AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Drive accountability for high-quality execution and measurable business outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should meet one of the following experience paths:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of Project Management experience, including at least 3 years supporting Information Technology initiatives; or
  • Approximately 11 years of relevant business and project-delivery experience demonstrating equivalent capability.

Additional requirements include:

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional technology projects.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent IT initiatives or programs.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience working with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare executive-level status reports and recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with project-management and planning tools.

Ideal Background

Strong candidates may come from technology initiatives within industries such as:

  • Technology
  • Energy
  • Utilities
  • Infrastructure
  • Financial services
  • Healthcare
  • Enterprise services
  • Consulting
  • Public-sector organizations
  • Large-scale corporate environments

Prior Oil & Energy industry experience is not required.

Experience working in enterprise-scale environments involving formal governance, multiple stakeholder groups, vendors, complex dependencies, and executive reporting will be particularly valuable.

What Success Looks Like

Successful candidates will demonstrate four key characteristics:

Proactive Leadership

You anticipate risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities before they become significant delivery problems.

Solutions-Oriented Judgment

You bring clarity to ambiguity and provide actionable options rather than simply escalating problems.

Continuous Improvement

You actively explore AI, automation, process improvements, and emerging technologies that can improve delivery quality and team productivity.

Ownership

You remain accountable for outcomes and business value rather than focusing only on completing project-management activities.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The expected schedule is:

  • Monday through Thursday: onsite in Tulsa
  • Friday: remote

Only candidates currently located in the Tulsa metropolitan area should apply.

Candidates must also be available to attend an in-person interview at the Tulsa location.

Relocation assistance is not available.

Candidate Search Area

Relevant local communities may include Tulsa and nearby areas such as:

  • Broken Arrow
  • Jenks
  • Bixby
  • Sand Springs
  • Sapulpa
  • Owasso

Candidates should be within a practical daily commuting distance of the Tulsa worksite.

Work Authorization

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this opportunity, now or in the future.

How to Apply

Please submit your application through this platform with an updated resume and relevant professional information.

Candidates should be prepared to confirm:

  • Current Tulsa-area location
  • Availability for the hybrid onsite schedule
  • Availability for an in-person interview
  • IT project-management experience
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Work authorization status
  • Desired hourly rate
  • Availability to begin and complete the contract engagement

If you are an experienced IT Project Manager who combines disciplined execution with proactive risk management, strong stakeholder leadership, and strategic judgment, we would like to hear from you.
