Job description

Reconstruction Project Manager

Are you a self-reliant and resourceful leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you have a passion for meeting deadlines and delivering results with precision? Are you a great communicator, highly thorough, and self-disciplined? If this sounds like you, we want you to bring your skills to our team and lead our projects to success.

Reconstruction Project Manager $70,000 - $85,000 per year PLUS uncapped monthly bonus structure

We are seeking an experienced and driven Reconstruction Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial property restoration projects from start to finish. In this role, you will lead the rebuilding phase following fire, water, storm, or mold damage. You will serve as the central hub of communication between homeowners, commercial clients, insurance adjusters, and subcontractors to ensure every job is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Execution: Manage multiple residential and commercial reconstruction projects simultaneously from initial contract award through final walk-through.
  • Subcontractor Management: Source, schedule, and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and in-house field crews.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, control material costs, track profitability, and approve subcontractor invoices.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for property owners and insurance adjusters, providing consistent updates and managing expectations.
  • Change Orders & Supplements: Collaborate with the estimating team to identify project scope changes, document variances, and process supplemental insurance claims.
  • Quality & Compliance: Perform regular on-site quality control inspections to ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company guidelines.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 35 years of project management experience specifically within the insurance restoration or disaster reconstruction industry.
  • Proficient with industry-standard estimating and management tools (e.g., Xactimate, DASH, or Restoration Manager).
  • Deep understanding of residential/commercial construction methods, framing, drywall, finishes, and building codes.
  • IICRC certifications (WRT, AMRT) and OSHA safety certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Superior leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills capable of managing stressful client situations with empathy.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check

Reasonable Accommodation for Disability: Any applicant or employee, who believes that a reasonable accommodation is required for purposes of federal or state disability law is required to contact Human Resources to begin the interactive exchange process.
