JOB SUMMARY
The Project Engineer supports the project team in various functions, including but not limited to job cost tracking, schedule tracking, change orders, RFI's and submittals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A working knowledge of construction methodology and managerial processes at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, an Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent experience of 3 years or more
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Leadership experience in a field environmentConstruction management degreeExperience in the construction industry
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Ability to read/interpret/analyze construction schedulesExtensive document controls experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteWorking knowledge of job cost trackingGood communication and interpersonal skills are essentialFamiliarity with Access a plusMust have the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, make decisions, and contribute as neededExcellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentialityExcellent oral and written communication skills
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Tracking construction contract design changes and updatesTracking of project construction progress in addition to tracking job costsCoordinating design changes within construction teamAssist with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order logAssist with development and maintenance of project scheduleAssist with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logsAbility to prepare project submittals and submit written RFIs to clientPerform additional duties as assigned
