Financial and Administrative Business Partner
The Financial and Administrative Business Partner for the School of Medicine is responsible for providing advice, guidance, and assistance in developing, establishing and sustaining financial policies, procedures and controls that help ensure the integrity of our financial reporting and compliance. This position provides back-up support to the SOM Controller which includes but is not limited to accounting assignments of diverse scope, including preparation of key journal entries, reconciliations and analyses, bank reconciliation operations, chart of accounts, audit liaison, and annual update of our sales and service permanent budgets and processes. Oversight of the integrity of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP, serves as liaison with campus auditors and/or Campus Accounting Office, ensures the timeliness in the completion of the annual year-end closing process, and will execute multiple initiatives against time constraints. Additionally, provides support to the faculty annual Health Sciences Compensation Plan (HSCP) compensation process, and the accounts receivable (A/R) cycle which includes billing for all service agreements, exhibitor agreements and faculty outside professional activities. The incumbent in this position will also develop and facilitate training in the areas of Clinical Finance, financial practices, strategic financial planning, database development and will serve as a Financial and Administrative Officer back-up as needed for support in the various departments. This is a two-year 50% Career appointment with the possibility of extension. The full salary range for the Financial and Administrative Business Partner is $103,100 - $196,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $150,000 annually and will be pro-rated at 50% FTE ($75,000).
