Senior Financial Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background in accounting, finance, and corporate FP&A. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in analytical work, enjoys working with large datasets, and can translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable navigating financial systems, month-end processes, and forecasting cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and reconcile accounts
- Prepare and annotate variance reports
- Support operating plans by developing financial forecasts and budgets
- Conduct research to understand accounting implications of various business scenarios
- Work through detailed financials, including pulling reports and validating data
- Perform month-end close activities, journal entries, and variance analyses
- Prepare materials for monthly business reviews and leadership meetings
- Create digestible, well-structured reports for various lines of business
- Support FP&A processes across forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information and provide financial insights
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or corporate FP&A
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with large datasets
- Experience with financial modeling and financial statement analysis
- Hands-on experience with month-end close and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills, including SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables
- Ability to problem-solve independently and research unfamiliar topics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of accounting and finance principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial or ERP systems such as AX, Oracle, SAP, or similar
- Exposure to Oracle Hyperion Essbase (highly preferred)
- Familiarity with additional analytical or reporting tools used by FP&A teams
