Job Description

Solidus is hiring a Principal Database Engineer for an onsite role based in Aurora, CO.

In this Principal Database Engineer role, you will join a talented team that develops enhancements and modifications to existing software systems. The successful candidate will provide database administration to high priority infrastructure / systems.

Day in the life :

Database administration of servers in cluster and container environments running a variety of applications to include Ubuntu Linux.
Work will include refinement of database architecture design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and urgent troubleshooting efforts.
Perform administrative and maintenance tasks on PostGRES databases.
Perform planning, coordination, and execution of database installations and upgrades and patches.
Respond to all database related work requests, including working with system maintainers, system engineering analysis, and integration efforts.
Maintain and update design and database schema documentation.
The work environment fluctuates between routine and urgent, depending on ongoing tasks, priorities, and performance of assigned systems.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

An active TS / SCI w CI Poly security clearance is required prior to start date. citizenship is required, as only citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

Eight (8) years of RECENT experience with database management

Experience using running databases in a Linux environment.

Experience with PostGRES databases.

Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
