Ruiz Foods is currently seeking a Learning and Organizational Development Specialist. This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Learning and Organizational Development. In this role you will have the opportunity to foster a continuous learning culture, while driving team member engagement for a national food manufacturer, with plants in California, Texas, and South Carolina.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-starter, able to work independently or part of a team, entrepreneurial in nature, who sees projects/assignments through to completion, while looking for ways to continuously improve our team member's engagement and learning and development experience. You will need solid business acumen which you will continue to build upon with regards to how talent development decisions impact our business results. Other key competencies that are required for success include a high level of emotional intelligence, as well as excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail. This is an exciting opportunity to play an instrumental role in the Talent Development function.

COMPENSATION: $28.85 - $33.65/Hour DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct training needs assessments through surveys, interviews, focus groups and consultation with managers and team members.
  • Content Creation: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training courses, curricula, and programs, including e-learning, virtual, and in person workshops tailored to meet the needs of various departments. Establish training schedules.
  • Training Delivery and Facilitation: Deliver training sessions and workshops and facilitate discussions, both in person and virtually, ensuring an interactive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Training Program Maintenance: Maintain and continuously improve in person, virtual, and eLearning offerings.
  • Learning Management System Administration: Serve as an LMS (Absorb) administrator; assist with routine administrative activities (e.g. user management, course enrollments, course maintenance, reporting), and trouble shooting and resolution (e.g., login or access issues)
  • Collaboration/ Business Partner: Work closely with leaders and other learning stakeholders to solve organizational and team member needs
  • Individual Development Plans: Process enrollments and payments for training requests that meet developmental needs of team members.
  • Knowledge and Resource Management: Assist with maintaining the organization's SharePoint intranet
  • Other duties as assigned (e.g., Orientation, Tuition reimbursement, Performance Management).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training and Development, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field, from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Possess knowledge and skill in the learning sciences, instructional design, training delivery, facilitation, and evaluating impact.
  • Knowledgeable in the Kirkpatrick's and Phillips levels of training evaluation, andragogy, ADDIE and SAM.
  • Expertise and experience developing and implementing effective talent development solutions.
  • Ability to build the confidence of others through open communication and respectful behavior.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships amongst multiple diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong program/project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects concurrently.
