MHS is seeking dedicated couples to join our team as Full-time Flex Houseparents. This impactful position invites couples to live on-campus in student homes, offering care, guidance, supervision, and support to 8-13 students in a nurturing, family-like environment. Flex Houseparents play an essential role in promoting the academic, emotional, and social development of students, empowering them to achieve their fullest potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
- Manage household routines and student schedules effectively.
- Oversee medication administration and student wellness.
- Transport students to various activities while planning and engaging in developmental and recreational programs.
- Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel services.
- Handle budgeting and household reporting.
Upon hiring, Flex Houseparents will support different student homes, typically working a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. During weekdays, houseparents enjoy dedicated time while students are in school. After initial placement, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, fostering continuity and stability for students.
Benefits Include:
- Competitive salary: $44,768.00 per individual (approximately $168,000 total compensation per couple, inclusive of free housing, meals during duty hours, utilities, and more).

Qualifications:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth.
- This is a role designed for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage.
- Both partners should be at least 27 years of age.
- Household may not exceed three dependent children living in the student home.
- Commitment to maintaining a smoke-free and weapon-free environment; no alcohol allowed while on duty.
- Pet restrictions: only fish and one approved breed dog are allowed.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and capability to become certified for driving student vans.
- Comfort leading daily devotions and participating in non-proselytizing Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exemplary integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students.
